They're claiming that the controller chip on the drive is equal to the CPU in the C64? Does that sound right? Seems odd to me. Anyway, because of that, they can use the controller chip in the drive to do this stuff.
I have to admit, to walk by and watch someone completely remove the computer and then run that from the drive would be freaky. :)
I don't see Paradroyd or Southern Amis listed for pictures 'n stuff. I think you guys should contact them and add your links to their list! Go team! :)
Now this is a picture of the shirt I wore to day 2 (Sunday) of the VCF Midwest 2021 show. I'm only showing it because I was amazed at the interest it invoked.
I had quite a few people comment on it, with nearly half a dozen taking pictures of it (including some show vendors).
This picture is just zoomed in so everyone can see the model of the super huge IBM server that Amis posted above. I think if they had actually turned it on, the lights would have dimmed for 3 city blocks... :)
Here are some more VCF Midwest 2021 pictures. I took quite a few and some of them are just duplicates of what Amis already posted so I'm trying to avoid duplicating those (also Amis's phone takes better pictures than the camera in my ancient dinophone). :)

I just received a post VCF Midwest 2021 e-mail update.
Even more pictures and a video playlist. Everyone make

Well, we were going with silk, but I dunno.
I like the WiModem keychain idea. :)
What is that old saying about how you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear? :)
Great pics everyone. Was there anything special about the 13o xe in front of the xe1411 monitor?
Paradroyd has posted his pictures from VCF Midwest 2021 now. You can find them at:
Thanks Dan! :)

Go Lord British! :)
And of course, the obligatory "VCF Midwest 2021" shirt. :)\

Here I'm getting my own, personally signed copy of "Attack of the Petscii Robots". (Atari version, of course) :)

That’s great! I think I had two 1o5os at one time.
Congratulations on both 1050's working fine! :)
Looks a lot like vcf East just a lot nicer rooms.
