@John Polka wow.. dont think I have ever seen a six prong like that.. Seems to be 3 prong/3 prong for each part of the hardware… like a crazy power SIO cable
I’m late to the party but here‘s my current setup on a simple 6ft table. 1200XL is for BBSing because the keyboard is awesome to type on. The XE is for gaming since the video quality is slightly better. And the ST has a WiModem232 for BBSing and an UltraSatan loaded with games adapted to run from hard drive.
So here's my current setup... a U1MB 8ooXL with UAV and an APE connection to one of my PCs so I can test BBSes and other stuff on real hardware to the outside world. The monitor is a Commodore 1702 which I used to have a spare of until I sold it to The_Doctor. (I still have 3 Amdek Color-1 spares.) Note the "Disk Notcher" next to the Power Distribution module and various power modules under the wooden riser. (There used to be a 130xe under this riser behind the 8ooXL until I sold it last year.) I still have a few other CPUs. Note the Lotharek SIO Splitter on the right side of the picture.
Here the Boot Factory 2k+ BBS running on Altirra to the right of my 8ooXL setup.
Under the BBS laptop below its own riser is the box of carts containing various games, SIDEs, OSes Languages... etc. There's also a Fujinet and an ASPQT serial device (I forget what that one is called... I should probably sell it as it has never worked correctly.)
Next to the box o' carts is the box o' drives featuring the IDE2PLus device, an SDrive Max that looks like a miniature 1050 and an SIO2SD installed in the XM301 case. These three are my faves...
I use the IDE2Plus a lot! Currently ForemXE Pro v17.5 is running on it when I boot it from the 8ooXL.
Finally, here's the Mega ST4 that runs DarkForce. It's equipped with an AdSpeed accelerator board running at 16mhz. It has 4 megs of RAM. The Cloudy TOS board gives it TOS v2.06 and EmuTOS. The Lightning ST board serves as the decoder for the Cloudy board and gives hot-swappable USB support. It's hooked up to a 4gig SCSI hard drive, 2x Teac CD-Writer and an EZ-135. removable drive.
Right now, it's dis-assembled where I just installed the Lightning ST board and am wanting to wait about a week to make sure everything is stable. After that, I'll close it back up again. You can see BBS Express! ST v1.98a at it's waiting screen.
Here's a better view of what it looks like when it's actually together.
Here is a closer view of the motherboard 'n stuff.
Never let it be said that the Mega ST4' that runs DarkForce doesn't have a busy and crowded desktop... :)
That's the AdSpeed accelerator software in action. That's the indicator showing the speed. There's also an ACC and a CPX available as well. If you used the ACC or CPX to drop the speed down to a standard 8mhz, the indicator would change appropriately.
Here is my beloved STacy... Me and this machine have been through a lot together. I bought it off a semi-local Atari guy using the name Phantom. I got it for $400.00 and he let me make payments on it. When I had paid it off, he sent it. It arrived in a box in multiple pieces. The hard drive was fragged - I mean one of those failures where it melts down and leaves black goo all over the inside. After a lot of work and research, I did get it back together and working. I've done
a ton of updates to it. Currently, it has a Pak 68/3 accelerator board in it, with a 68030 and 68882 FPU, both running at 40mhz. It has a modified TOS v3.06 (like the TT), switchable with
the onboard 68000 CPU and TOS v1.4. 4 megs of RAM and an internal Ultrasatan from Jookie (one of the originals). The LCD was very dim so I replaced it with an El Screen. I also did a 1.44
HD floppy disk upgrade. Oh...there was quite a few scratches so I painted it black, but just until something darker comes along... :)
Apologies about the screen - for some reason my camera just doesn't want to pick it up clearly.
So here's a closeup - somewhat better. :)
And here's the hand-made leather cover for the STacy (Slor over in the 8bit forum at Atari Age had his wife make this). I have to tell the full story about this cover. I wanted one for when my STacy wasn't in use. However, Metalguy66 got one for his Amiga done before me and had the stitched writing say "ST Killer". Grrrrr.... So my STacy's cover says, "Sadly friend, where I go you can not follow", referencing the fact that Amiga means "friend" and there was never an official (portable) Amiga released by Commodore. Yes, I'm evil. :)
Okay, here is my Mega STe... It's in great shape, has TOS v2.06, 4 megs of RAM, a 68881 FPU, 1.44, HD floppy drive, runs at 16mhz, and has one of Lotharek's internal Ultrasatan drives in
it. Interesting story about the keyboard - it's previous owner was Dave Troy of Toad Computers fame. :)
Complete with my now working Roland MT-32. Love the sounds in games that do
My Atari Station. Up top: Monitor, switch port, 800XL (Side 3 + U1MB), 4160STE, UltraSatan, NetUSBee. Monitor handles all the devices and resolutions. And the Brother Laser that does Epson FX emulation too.
Underneath: Controllers (keypads, classic, edladdin), 2600 games, 7800 AV Modded SuperSytem, Mini 2600, Mini Coleco, NAS, 1050, 1030, FujiNet. Power on left with independent switches for gear.
Here is the latest iteration. You can see the little riser I put under the drives so I can run the cables straight back Instead of around the drives.
That's probably the single rarest ST specific monitor. I hope he can get it fully restored.
Paul W just got one of these. They are very rare and take an odd power supply. Anyone know where one can find the power supply or how to make it?
Some Goodies in the mail drop today.. Thanks Mike Mike Mike for your brokerage service
Nice! :)

Hmm, you need to have Archon and the Ultima game cartridges in with that bunch! :)
And a better pic of my carts.

How about the 800xl version
It would appear that you're all set.
Houston, initiate countdown to launch sequence... :)
