Another commentary before Lonny and I leave Warsaw for home....
That picture that has Ron in it.... there is that book "Alien Encounters" in our display. That book was from one of our Atari BBS Community Zoom meets where one of our newer friends actually did the layout/published that book back in the day on an Atari Falcon using Calamus! (He didn't write it, but just did the layout and such). So he gave us the link during the call and I was able to pick it up on Amazon and figured I had to include it in the table display (since it was discussed in a BBS call).
Forgot to mention... or... ask... Rob, did your brother sell an SX212 in box earlier this year? The guy I bought it from on eBay had the same last name and was from NY... so if that was him... that was his SX212. Otherwise, please disregard this message. 😆
Lonny and I are still in Warsaw (our layover). Checkout is at noon so we're chillin' after a big free breakfast.
I'll be home later today and I'll try to post what I have... but if not, I'll do it tomorrow (I'm still off work).
Spoiler alert. Naked Falcon
Oh, and here's something for you... after we checked in and got settled into our rooms in Warsaw, we went back downstairs to get some snacks. What we saw checking in was... shall we say.... for all four of them there was "no ambiguity" 😍
Just wanted to mention that the Atari presence was greatly increased at the show this year. I think I saw more Atari's, 8bit, 16bit and 32 bit, at this show than I did in the last 2 shows combined. Much improved!
Something interesting,, Andy had a scannable card setup next to that awesome neon looking Atari light so that people could use their phones to scan and see where to buy one (Amazon). Well, the link went dead on Sunday, the 2nd day - we think it's because they sold out...! 🙂
Yeah... today I even went to find it through my "previous orders" page and got the same result. But I also noticed similar (as in exactly the same through a different Chinese "company") ones going for about $25 more at around $69 instead of $45.
That is really big. But I sometimes wonder if east is the biggest. East has 3 or 4 rooms usually filled with goodies. This past year they were set up in the hallways.
Some day I will make it out to vcfmw. Looked like a lot of fun.
You exceed that number just at the top of the map. So I'd say it's at least 3-4x bigger.
Some people weren't happy that we were not with the rest of the "Atari Crowd" but the Ataris really were kind of spread out (there was that one concentration by the SCAT guys in section P). We were E03/04/05 in the map, right by the rear restrooms (which were always nearly empty) and the concession stand (so you could run for a drink or snack when the lines were short) and you didn't have to worry about stepping in 😆 P or SCAT (oh come on, that's funny... I bet JP would appreciate it!)

Oh, we did run into some indigenous Chicago wildlife as well... 😁

I see Ron looking like he is doing something important... 🤣
In the third pic from the top, is that Andy? He looks like he is playing a conga drum on that keyboard... 🤣
Wow didn’t know you were going. My Mac bud was there (Macnician).
